How to Stop Feeling Tired

Your body - not stimulants - is the key to more sustained energy

When you feel tired and have low energy the last thing you think you can do is get up and exercise.

But contrary to what you are feeling, it’s moving your body, in that exact moment, that will increase your energy and help you focus.

I teach mindful movement and exercise that is tailored to each clients’ fitness level. That way, you never leave the session feeling sluggish and too tired to continue with your day.

You will also only feel a healthy amount of sore muscles from each session. My philosophy is never to do too much too soon with your body.

I want you to feel energized and inspired to work out more, not exhausted and beaten down by your sessions. For me, there’s nothing worse than becoming too sore to function for several days. It feels like a setback. I train my clients the same way I train myself. Yes, sometimes I feel mild soreness after I learn to move in a new way or work my body more than I’m used to. But I strive to build strength and mobility in a healthy and gradual way. I know I’m in good shape when my workouts feel challenging, but not overwhelming.

Does exercising increase energy?

Physical activity energizes your body in multiple ways. It increases your heart rate, blood flow, endorphins, and oxygen levels in the blood. It also helps your body create more mitochondria, which generate chemical energy for your cells. Because of this, the more energy you use, the more you will make in your body. You will get the benefits of what you give to yourself.

Exercise also helps you focus when you practice mindful movements like Pilates, Yoga, dance, or martial arts.

The mind moves more freely while you give all of your attention to your physical body by practicing complex movements and learning about your anatomy or how your muscles, bones, and tissues work in harmony.

This can help you become unstuck from nagging thought patterns. If you have something weighing heavily on your mind, a movement session may not solve your problems, but it will help you think about them with more clarity.

A regular workout routine improves your sleep quality by helping you fall asleep faster at night and allowing you to sleep more deeply, which will help your baseline energy level to become regulated and healthy.

And it really doesn’t take much, just consistency. When you create a routine that works for you, you will sleep better, have more energy during the day, and be more focused and alert.

Stop asking yourself, “Why am I always so tired and have no energy” and begin your energetic journey!
